Week 34

Not a whole lot to post about this week. I have been doing some inversion exercises that I read about on spinningbabies.com in hopes of getting Ronan to move head down. I've also been trying to fight off a cold and have been dealing with more headaches lately. A restful sleep is something of the past as well, but I suppose my body is getting me used to this for when the baby comes :)

Our next Dr's appt will be on Tuesday. We also started out breast feeding class this week. It was really good and insightful. I feel like being armed with all this knowledge is giving us more of a chance to have sucess with breast feeding. We have one more class to go and then we are done.

Oh, and a big Happy Birthday to Grandpa Daryl!!!

How your baby's growing:

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. Her fat layers — which will help regulate her body temperature once she's born — are filling her out, making her rounder. Her skin is also smoother than ever. Her central nervous system is maturing and her lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.
