Week 29
All is still well in the McIlhargie household. We saw our Dr on Tuesday. The baby has been moving a lot less frequently at night so they wanted to make sure that everything was ok and he wasn't under any stress. They gave me an ultrasound to check my fluid which was at a great level. The baby is still breech, but he still has a lot of time to move to a head down position. I was also hooked up to a monitor that recorded the baby's heart beat, movements and any contractions that were occuring. I was on the machine for 20 minutes and passed with flying colors. The baby was actually physically responding to movements which is not expected at his current age. So he is doing great to say the least.
I also recieved a lovely, painful shot in my bum. Miles thought it was hilarious and laughed through the whole process. I was unable to convince the nurse to give him the 3 inch shot as well.
We also took our first pregnancy class this week. We got a tour of the maternity ward and were thourally impressed by the hospital. It was built in the last year or so and everything is top of the line. They did a great job with design, very comfortable and modern surroundings. The security they have in place was amazing! Suffice to say that no one will be able to get off the maternity floor with our baby boy but us :)
We have 3 more weeks of pregnancy/delivery classes and then we will have two breastfeeding classes.
