Week 31

Went to the Dr for my 2 week appt this week and all looks good. She thinks the baby has rotated to a head down position!!! That was very exciting news to hear to say the least :) My uterus is measuring right on schedule.

We also received some fabulous baby gifts from Grandma Mac, Grandma and Grandpa Swarner, and Shelley and Daryl :) We also went shopping for the nursery and found a super comfy glider that doesn't look horrendous, and a nice little dresser...all on clearance I might add! Now all we need are some funky wall shelfs and some art, and I do believe the nursery will be complete! We also went to Sams Club and bought our first box of diapers and wipes in bulk :)

We had our third birthing class this week. We practiced different birting positions and breathing. We also learned about different drugs that we can use during labor. I am still hoping to go all natural, but am open to an epidural if the pain becomes too much.

I have a friend that just gave birth to her baby boy this week after 30 hours of labor! I am really hoping we don't go that long.

This week, your baby measures over 16 inches long. He weighs about 3.3 pounds (try carrying four navel oranges) and is heading into a growth spurt. He can turn his head from side to side, and his arms, legs, and body are beginning to plump out as needed fat accumulates underneath his skin. He's probably moving a lot, too, so you may have trouble sleeping because your baby's kicks and somersaults keep you up. Take comfort: All this moving is a sign that your baby is active and healthy.
